1. Purpose and Scope
This Refund Policy explains when refunds, cancellations, replacements, or other remedies may be available for purchases made through https://learniumzone.com/, including recipe content, cooking courses, downloadable culinary materials, token-based access, and related digital content and services (collectively, the “Content”).
This Policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Cookie Policy.
2. General Refund Rule
Without limiting any mandatory consumer rights, a refund may be granted if requested within 14 days after purchase where:
(a) the customer paid but did not receive the purchased product or access;
(b) the transaction failed, but funds were still charged;
(c) the transaction was duplicated; or
(d) the customer has not yet activated the purchase or started using the purchased Content.
All refund requests are subject to reasonable verification.
3. Cancellation Before Delivery or Activation
You may request cancellation before delivery or activation where the purchased Content has not yet been made available, unlocked, revealed, or otherwise activated for your account.
We may also cancel an order before supply where reasonably necessary, including due to failed verification, fraud concerns, payment issues, legal restrictions, sanctions screening, manifest pricing errors, technical issues, or unavailability of the relevant Content. If we cancel before delivery or activation, any amount actually paid for the cancelled order will be refunded to the original payment method unless otherwise required by law.
4. Refundable Scenarios
Subject to verification, you may be eligible for a refund, replacement, or other appropriate remedy in the following cases.
4.1 Non-Receipt
You completed payment, but the purchased Content or access was not delivered to your account or otherwise made available to you within a reasonable period, and the issue was not caused by incorrect account information, email information, or technical settings supplied by you.
4.2 Failed Transaction With Charge Still Applied
A transaction did not complete properly, but funds were nevertheless charged or reserved and not automatically reversed within a reasonable time.
4.3 Duplicate Transaction
You were charged more than once for the same purchase or substantially identical purchase because of a duplicate transaction.
4.4 Not Activated and Not Used
You request a refund within 14 days after purchase and the purchased Content has not yet been activated, unlocked, redeemed, streamed, downloaded, opened, or otherwise started to be used.
4.5 Failure to Supply or Lack of Conformity
If mandatory consumer law gives you remedies because digital content or a digital service was not supplied, was defective, or did not conform to the contract, the appropriate remedy may include bringing the Content into conformity, replacement, price reduction, or refund, depending on the circumstances.
5. Refund Limitations and Exclusions
Unless required by applicable law, refunds will generally not be granted where:
(a) the Content has already been activated, opened, streamed, downloaded, accessed, or otherwise started to be used;
(b) access was delivered correctly and the complaint concerns a mere change of mind after lawful immediate supply of digital content with your express consent and acknowledgement;
(c) the issue results from inaccurate information provided by you, including an incorrect email address, wrong account details, incompatible device setup, or failure to meet stated access requirements;
(d) the issue results from your own internet connection, software environment, device restrictions, browser settings, or local technical limitations not caused by us;
(e) the Content was obtained or used in breach of the Terms & Conditions;
(f) the claim is fraudulent, abusive, duplicative, or unsupported by reasonable evidence; or
(g) the issue is caused by external circumstances outside our reasonable control, except to the extent mandatory law gives you rights.
6. Immediate Supply and Statutory Withdrawal Rights
If you are a consumer in the EEA, you may in some cases have a 14-day statutory right of withdrawal for distance contracts. However, for digital content or digital services supplied without a tangible medium, that right may be lost once supply begins if:
(a) you gave prior express consent to immediate performance during the withdrawal period; and
(b) you acknowledged that you would lose the withdrawal right once supply began.
Where those conditions are met and the Content has been supplied, a refund for mere change of mind may no longer be available. This does not affect any mandatory rights relating to non-delivery, lack of conformity, defective performance, or unauthorised charging.
7. Refund Method
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase, unless:
(a) the original payment method is no longer available;
(b) applicable law requires another method; or
(c) you expressly agree to another lawful method.
We do not charge our own refund processing fee, but your bank, card issuer, or payment service provider may apply their own processing fees, international fees, or currency conversion adjustments. Such external fees are outside our control.
8. Token-Related Purchases
Where a purchase involves Line Tokens or token-based access:
(a) refund eligibility depends on whether the underlying content purchase or unlock has been activated or used;
(b) where a token purchase was charged but not credited properly, we may, where appropriate, credit the correct amount, reverse the charge, or refund the payment to the original payment method; and
(c) unless mandatory law requires otherwise, unused internal tokens do not create a right to cash redemption outside the refund rules for the underlying transaction.
9. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, contact us at support@learniumzone.com and include:
(a) your full name;
(b) your account email address;
(c) the order or transaction reference;
(d) the date of payment;
(e) the content or purchase concerned;
(f) the reason for the request; and
(g) any supporting evidence available, such as screenshots, payment references, account history, bank statement lines with sensitive numbers redacted, or error messages.
10. Review Process
We may request additional information reasonably necessary to verify the refund request, including account identifiers, order history, timestamps, technical details, or confirmation that the relevant Content has not been used.
Where lawful and proportionate, we may first offer correction, replacement access, or proper crediting before issuing a refund if that is an appropriate remedy for the issue.
11. Chargebacks and Fraud Prevention
Before initiating a chargeback, please contact us first at support@learniumzone.com so that we have an opportunity to resolve the matter directly.
We reserve the right to contest inaccurate, abusive, or fraudulent chargebacks. If a valid purchase was properly supplied and a payment is reversed improperly, we may suspend associated access, limit future purchases, or take lawful recovery steps.
12. Complaints and Appeals
If you disagree with a refund decision, you may submit an appeal to support@learniumzone.com within 14 days after receiving the decision. Please include the original request details and any additional explanation or evidence.
We aim to respond to complaints and appeals within 15 calendar days, although complex cases may require additional time.
13. Consumer Rights
Nothing in this Refund Policy excludes or limits any rights you may have under mandatory consumer protection law.
